The 2023 Ballyea GAA Social shall take place at the Inn at Dromoland on Friday evening/night, May 26th. This will be a unique, joint event on this occasion with Ballyea GAA Camogie to celebrate the unprecedented success on both sides in 2022, as per the senior championship win and the junior A league triumph in the hurling, and the intermediate and junior C championship wins in the camogie.

This promises to be a fantastic, community event for both the parish of Ballyea and the wider GAA participation in respect of both clubs, involving the presentation of county medals to 4 No. teams on the night as endeavoured to be a suitably balanced affair (in numerous aspects).

The night shall commence at 7pm. The presentation of medals to the female and male junior teams shall take place prior to the meal, with the follow-on presentation of medals to the senior and intermediate teams after the meal with associated speeches. There will be a DJ, music, dancing after the conclusion of the night's formalities incorporating a broad range to cater to all musical tastes as appropriate from Abba/Neil Diamond to more progressive, contemporary music.

The ticket price, with retrospective reference to previous socials, is maintained at €50 per head for a 3 course meal to the function room capacity of 250 persons. Hence, it is advocated that ticket requests be made to the chairperson of Ballyea GAA via email (mikeneylon@hotmail.com) as soon as possible to best avoid disappointment. In the interest of wholesome fairness, tickets shall be sold/allocated on a 'first-come-first-served' basis.
