It was a disapppinting outing this evening over to neighbours; Kilmaley, for the third round of the Clare Cup. A very close to full strength Kilmaley dominated the early exchanges scoring two goals. However Ballyea powered back with a well worked goal in the latter part of the first half to leave just a goal between the sides at half time on a score line of Kilmaley 2-9 Ballyea 1-9.

The second half just didn't go Ballyea's way with Kilmaley progressively creating more breathing room to run out winners on a final score of
Kilmaley 2-17 Ballyea 1-10. Congratulations to Kilmaley. No criticsm for our lads. They will take away a few lessons learnt that shall serve them well later in the season.
