A new management team for the senior hurlers was ratified at the senior club committee meeting on Wednesday night. This shall comprise of Leonard McNamara as senior manager, Kevin Sheehan as trainer/coach, Francis O'Reilly as selector, Kieran Connolly as team physio and Tim Curtin on video analysis. Kevin, a native of the parish who has played at all levels for the club, returns to the club senior management set up having previously achieved great success as senior manager with the senior championship win in 2018. Leonard, a resident of Newhall, was a member of both the Junior A and Intermediate championship winning teams in 1999 and 2001. This is his first taste of senior management, having recently been involved with our under 21 and junior teams. Francis, or Francie as everyone knows him, has also worn the black and amber from a young age, and will provide valuable support to both the manager and coach. Further selectors to be added to this backroom during the forthcoming rounds of the Clare Cup which commences this weekend. Kieran Connolly returns as physio having been part of the previous management setup. Tim from Ennis is a new addition to apply his technical skillset on video analysis. Ballyea GAA wish this management team, and the players, the very best for the year ahead.
