Now that the dust has settled on us winning our third ever Co. Hurling Title, it is important for us to thank those who work very hard behind the scenes and made the HOME COMING such a memorable event for all. A lot of planning goes on behind the scenes to ensure that such a wonderful occasion is marked appropriately and thanks to the following for making that happen:
Dave Whelan and Gerry Longe who do trojan work behind the scenes to ensure all the hard work is done without any kudos. Dave & Gerry assisted by John Wall set up the barriers, flood lights, stage for the team etc etc. Thanks to Noel McMahon (Kilmaley) for donating the flood lights and to Joe Kelly (Ballynacally) for the lorry.
Clare County Council and in particular John Lynch (Drimeen) for organising the outdoor toilets and VMS roadsigns.
Pat Moylan (MC on the night) who did a fantastic job
Brian Gooney (for the Sound System)
Pat Hehir, Paddy O'Connell, Eamon Griffin, Brian Kennedy, Joe Hehir, Rory Longe and Donal Kelly for the bonfires
Ennis Gardaí and in particular Sergeant Mark Murphy for organising the Garda Escort for the bus
Des O'Halloran, Tulla Pipe Band, for leading the team from the bus
Sandra Moylan for organising the food
Catherine Hogan for organising the best decorated house
C & C Executive Travel for providing the bus for the team
Helen & Derrick O'Connor, The Local Inn, Drumquin for hosting the event and going the extra mile to ensure plenty of space was provided to cater for the big crowd.
The tremendous work done at Ballyea Club in 2021 was never more appreciated than when Jack Browne lifted the Canon Hamilton ON BEHALF OF THE ENTIRE PARISH OF BALLYEA and that's what it's all about.
