Ballyea face a stern test at home tomorrow night with the visit of Feakle in the Clare Cup (throw-in 7.30pm).

Since Fergal Hegarty assumed the managerial reins, Ballyea have won all three of their league and championship games.

Feakle though are also in joint second place in Division 1B with three wins out of four and when the two sides met in last year's county semi-final, there was only three points between them in the end, Ballyea edging it 0-22 to 2-13.

Since then, of course, Ballyea have gone on to win the Canon Hamilton and the Munster senior club title, but Feakle themselves have also secured some silverware. Last month they won the county U21 A title when teaming up with neighbours Killanena.

And to make things even more challenging for Ballyea, Hegarty will obviously have to plan histheir five county players who are part of the Clare panel taking on Limerick in Thurles on Sunday.

But at home in front of a hopefully good home crowd, Ballyea should again make sure anything their opponents get is earned. So get there if you can!
